Amy grew up in Michigan and currently lives in Loveland Colorado.
Having spent most of her life in pursuit of the arts, she reached a full circle moment 6 years ago when she stepped back into the studio and touched her brush to canvas.
In the years before, she worked in acting, music, writing, stage direction, film & television (you can see her in Groundhog Day if you don’t blink), silversmithing, video editing and dabbled in fused glass.
Each experience brought a creative joy but once she began oil painting, she found what she was looking for.
Most recently, Amy trained at the Schissler Academy of Fine Arts’ foundational program until deciding to commit to the 2-year intensive Certificate Program, graduating in June 2019.
There, she focused on her classical training where she discovered a love for graphite figure drawing and reaffirmed her passion for oil painting.
Her art reflects the spirit and magic she sees in her subject. Using a lot of color and too much imagination, her motivation is to bring joy to people who view her art.
