Don’t you just love interacting with people in person?

Downtown Loveland just had our Sweetheart Festival last weekend. There were local vendors, kids activities, photo op booths created by some of my favorite artists and musicians from groups of kids to professionals. It was so nice to see faces of the friends and neighbors in person, most of them without a mask too.

One of the things I love about living in Loveland is that you know so many of your community. I love knowing the names of the staff at the post office, grocery stores and other businesses I frequent.

I’m grateful for social media for keeping me in touch with friends who are far away, but nothing beats time spent with a personal exchange. I think since the pandemic we are starving for it. It made my heart sing last weekend at the festival, running in to so many of my friends who were enjoying our Valentine festivities.

I hope you take the time to stop by some of our locally owned businesses and see what’s new with them, and just say “hello” and catch up on life.
